A new theoretical approach to chemical bonds, the structure of atoms and chemical compounds | Part I. Atomic system: reticular spatial structure as engineering model of atomic shells
tab edizioni
In this research work, the structure of atoms is described through the introduction of innovative theoretical concepts. Among them is a reinterpretation of the electron pair – not as a concentration of the electronic cloud on one side of the nucleus, but as a symmetric distribution on both sides. The study also proposes that electrons form atomic shells using a multilayer lattice structure, where the reticular framework develops around a central point, and the dynamics between the nucleus and electrons, as well as among the electrons themselves, play specific structural roles. Electrons in atomic shells become localized because they are held at a certain distance from the center because of a mutual repulsion which counterbalances the attractive force of the nucleus, and prevents structural collapse.
